How Contagious is Morgellons Disease 2/14/19

A subscriber asks,

Morgellons Disease can be transmitted by a hug, right?

It can be transmitted by a peck on the lips, right? Told my daughter to use listerine. The kiss was habit, not thinking?

Can it be transmitted through a greeting card or sealed envelope?

Thank you Richard...

Good Questions.
Depends on how active your symptoms are. Some, who are not on the diet, bathing, or disinfecting can transfer just by standing next to someone. I often hear people say that they notice others itching when they stand near them.

The more you do regarding diet, bathing, applying body wipe, lotions, or creams between baths to reduce symptoms of itching and release of fibers, the less likely you are contagious.

So, yes, if you're symptomatic, you can pass it with a hug, a kiss, or even in a letter. This is why we do not accept returns or mail from anyone who might be infected. I truly doubt that Listerine will do much to incapacitate the organisms.
