The Amazing Banana Stands Up to Fight Morgellons Disease  12/5/19

Bananas--one of the few fruits allowed on the diet and it's full of surprises!

I've always thought the banana one of the world's perfect fruits--mainly because the taste is so consistent. Unlike watermelon, cantaloupe, pears, cherries, oranges, and so on that you never know if they will taste good until you bite into it, the banana always has a great taste and you can see how ripe it is. And, after you read this article by Diane, you'll even have greater appreciation for this amazing fruit. Just hope we can keep Monsanto with their Round UP and GMO's from destroying it. The good news is that bananas are allowed on Stage II of the King diet™ for Morgellons disease. It is of the two known fruits allowed.

What’s in a Banana that can do great things for you in overcoming

2) Fiber - Not just any common fiber

We are not talking about Morgellons fibersin banana's in case you were wondering!

Read on and see what these two attributes bananas have that are unique to sustain your health.

•  Did you know...?

•  Bananas have a much higher antioxidant capacity than some herbs, berries, and vegetables.

Bananas are saturated in health-inducing phytochemicals namely, phenolic compounds, phytosterols and carotenoids.

•  Bananas have different phenolic compounds and flavonols.  The phenolic compounds are anthocyanins, epicatechin, gallic acid, tannins and catechin.  Flavonols includes kaempferol, myricetin, quercetin and cyanidin.

•  Phenolic compounds and flavonoids act as protective scavengers against free radicals.

•  Carotenoids like lutein, α-carotene, violaxanthin, β-carotene, neoxanthin, iso-lutein, auroxanthin, alpha cryptoxanthin and beta-cryptoxanthin.
•  They act as pro-vitamins contributing to major roles as free radical scavenging antioxidants and hence reduce risks of various diseases, including eye diseases and cancers.

•  Bananas contain specifically consumption carotenoid rich foods which drives your immune system hence reducing risks of diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Phytosterols including cycloeucalenol, stigmasterol, campesterol, β-sitosterol amoung others which are natural attributes of plants and have a wide variety of health inducing effects reducing the absorption of cholesterol and

lowering blood cholesterol.

•  Phytosterols also serve as your immune system modulator.

•  Antioxidant Activity in bioactive compounds that stimulate heart and brain health and support healthy aging.

•  B
ananas are considered one of the most important antioxidant-rich foods.

•  Carbohydrates

Ripening does change the composition of bananas through the various stages.

All green--Green with trace of yellow--More green than yellow--Half green, half yellow--More yellow than green--Yellow with green tips and necks--All yellow--All yellow and brown spots.

Did you know starch is the main component of green bananas and undergoes changes during the ripening process.  The starch content declines from about 80% to 1%.

•  When starch is converted to sugar several enzymes are involv
ed which are:

Amylase kind of sugars like sucrose, glucose and fructose and pertain to 16% or higher.

As the banana ripens so the sugar content increases.  The greener the banana, the higher the starch content.

•
Starch.  Not just any old starch.

•  Resistant Starch simply because it is a non-digestible carbohydrate and is shown t
o increase satisfaction and feelings of fullness.
This is probably one of the main reasons why the banana makes it into the King Diet™-- the starch doesn't get converted to sugar.

•  Consuming resistant starch assists with increased fat burning and decreases the storage of fat and also improves insulin sensitivity.

Here’s the big WOW!

•  Resistant starch although not digestible by us, is a “prebiotic” fiber that serves as “food” for our beneficial gut microbes. It's through the process of fermentation that bacteria feed off resistant starch, this results in the production of short-chain fatty acids and fuel our immune cells which stimulate the release of key hunger-suppressing hormones.

•  When resistant starch is assimilated in the GI tract this hereby aids in the uptake of minerals like calcium, and also reduce symptoms of diarrhea.

But, that's not quiet all.

•  Resistant starch being a prebiotic hugely influences the ecosystem in your gut hence increasing levels of beneficial Bifidobacteria and reduces the levels of pathogenic bacteria.

•
Fiber  -  Not just any old fiber.

The ripening process reduces greatly the amount of resistant starch, ripe bananas are still however a great source of fiber, about 3 grams per average medium sized banana.

•  Dietary fiber is vital when it comes to nutrition yielding a healthy digestive tract, enhances weight loss, reduces calorie intake.stimulates bowel movement, promotes satiety,

•  Pectin slows down the rate of gastric emptying and improves your glycemic control.

•
Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) is the unique fiber banana’s contain.
Much more on this, but firstly read this.

•  The American Gastroenterological Association mentions how dietary fiber activates digestive health and goes shares details regarding experiments done introducing fiber and shows how colon related conditions improved introducing fiber in various ways.

The job fiber does to restore a balanced microbiota is really very huge in the numerous roles it plays and warrants it’s own article.

•  So what's the extra special thing about bananas?

As stated bananas also contain a very special type of fiber called fructooligosaccharide (FOS).
FOS is a unique fructose-containing carbohydrates that is generally not broken down by enzymes in the digestive tract.  As it Reaches the lower intestine it exhibits prebiotic activity.
A prebiotic selectively stimulates the growth of beneficial gut microbes.  T
hese fibers act as “food” for healthy gut microbes. This process promotes and maintains the balance of friendly bacteria like Bifidobacteria supporting overall digestive health.  And this is most likely the second reason the banana makes it into the King Diet™--the super sugar (FOS) goes past the digestive portion of the digestive tract into the lower intestine where it serves another purpose.

When it comes to Morgellons we are the only sector of the population I believe that have been made so aware that it's all about what's going down in the colon.

Back to the banana!

Banana’s are far more than this article can hold, reading The Worlds Healthiest foods says it all.

•  Eating two banana's a day can do wonders for you. And they are allowed on Stage II of Richard's King Diet™ as outlined in his protocol using the Nature's Gift™ Debriding Soap.
•  As per research, healthy females eating two bananas daily for two months experienced an increase in Bifidobacteria.  The subjects also noted fewer digestive discomfort symptoms like lower bloating levels compared to women never ate bananas. They just can't wait to get into your food plan.

Handy hint -  I mash up banana let it go brown as it helps my tummy work.  Just before I eat it I sprinkle some baking soda on it, sometimes borax.  It adds some charm doing healthy things differently.

In a future article, we'll look at the amazing Granny Smith Apple
